I am very lucky to work with a wide range of tax clients advising on both personal and corporate taxation. It's gratifying to ensure businesses are tax efficient and to build a good rapport with clients.

In 1999 Damian Talbot joined Warrener Stewart from a West End practice that specialised in property where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.

Damian is frequently involved in the structuring of start up businesses as well as in the tax planning issues arising from major transactions and reconstructions. Since 2006, Damian has been involved with many different aspects of transactional and compliance work for companies involved in offshore wind farms and other energy production.

In 2002, Damian became an Enrolled Agent licensed by the US federal government to appear in place of the taxpayer at the Internal Revenue Service. This involved passing examinations administered by the IRS covering the US taxation of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts, together with relevant procedures and ethics.

As a consequence, Damian is now the firm’s primary point of contact for clients who need to file US tax returns. He believes that historically there has been a very real lack of professional support for US citizens in the UK, particularly for those starting UK businesses and looking for a single source tax compliance and advisory service.

Damian manages an extensive portfolio comprising the tax affairs of individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts. His work involves organising their compliance affairs and providing tax advice. A large part of this client work relates to the tax affairs of UK owner managed businesses and UK subsidiaries of multinational corporations.
