UK Tax Assistant Isaac Dilley receives ATT Gravestock Medal
We are delighted to report that one of Warrener Stewart’s UK Tax Assistants, Isaac Dilley, has been awarded ‘The Gravestock Medal’ for the highest mark in the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) VAT exam.
The ATT is the leading professional body for anyone providing UK tax compliance services. It has over 9,800 Members and Fellows, and more than 7,000 students, who use the practising title 'Taxation Technician' or 'Taxation Technician (Fellow)' respectively.
The organisation awards prizes to the candidates that score the highest marks in each of its six examination papers. Not only was Isaac Dilley awarded ‘The Gravestock Medal’ for the highest mark in the VAT exam, he also passed papers 1 (personal tax) and 2 (business tax) in the same sitting, meaning he has passed all of the major exams required for the qualification.
Isaac said; “It goes without saying that I’m pleased with these results. I am also convinced that the practical experience that I’ve gained working at Warrener Stewart has contributed significantly to my passing these exams.
“Studying for three exams at once is a lot of work but seeing interesting personal and corporation tax and VAT issues, more-or-less on a daily basis, helped reinforce what I was learning. I was also able to draw on some of that practical experience in my exams.
“I received high-quality tuition on my courses. However, I don’t think I would have received this prize were it not for my experienced colleagues, in particular my manager Freddie, constantly teaching me new things, and giving me the opportunity to apply them at work.
“I am excited to be completing my ATT qualifications and hope be accepted as a member later this year. My aim now is to continue my studies by qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor, specialising in corporation tax.”
Tax Manager, Freddie Hollom said; “We are all very pleased with Isaac’s success, and that he feels working with the tax team at Warrener Stewart has contributed in a positive way to his learning. We are proud of the high quality work that we do, and see Isaac as a valued member of the team.”
