I enjoy the challenges that providing a payroll function brings; you just never know what a client might enquire about.

Karen Boland joined Warrener Stewart in 1997 and has been a payroll manager in the firm since that time. Before joining Warrener Stewart she worked in the payroll department of SuperDrug one of the UK's largest retailers where she gained many years' experience looking after the practical and compliance intricacies involved in a payroll function servicing a large number of employees.

Karen joined Warrener Stewart because she wanted to experience working in a smaller team where she could look after a wide range of different clients. She was interested in working in a professional practice to develop further her technical knowledge.

Karen is now responsible for a portfolio consisting of many small and growing owner-managed businesses as well as large corporate payrolls. She works closely with her clients to ensure that their tight payroll deadlines are always met and to ensure that their many and varied legal requirements are dealt with.

Away from work, Karen is kept extremely busy with her two children.
